From Nordic roots to American opportunity

A conversation that started years ago, paused by life, and reignited at the perfect moment—bringing proven CLT modular expertise to the U.S.

It started with a conversation

Years back, as a CLT modular factory was taking shape in Finland—refining processes, testing precision, and demonstrating the real-world potential of high-rise volumetric timber—early discussions began with a U.S. real estate specialist. The idea was clear: factory-built CLT modules could offer efficiency, sustainability, and speed that aligned with growing market demands. The potential felt strong.

But life has its own timeline. Other commitments, shifting priorities, and the everyday demands of running projects put the idea on hold.

Then the world changed with COVID

The pandemic disrupted construction globally—slowing demand in some regions, straining supply chains, and highlighting vulnerabilities in on-site building. At the same moment, the U.S. market emerged as an ideal next step: vast scale, rising need for mid-rise housing and commercial spaces (apartments, hotels, townhouses, student residences, affordable units), and relatively few established players in advanced CLT modular systems. The conditions aligned—European slowdown met American opportunity.

Talks resumed with renewed energy. Feasibility studies followed: market research, demand analysis, regulatory reviews. The findings were encouraging. There is clear need for more predictable, cost efficient building methods that complement existing approaches. CLT modular delivers: off-site factory production that minimizes weather impacts, reduces on-site waste (up to 65% less), shortens timelines (often up to 50% faster assembly), enhances energy performance (40% savings through superior insulation and carbon storage), and supports full customization—all while maintaining high quality and safety standards proven in European projects, including landmark high-rises.

What stood out most was the unique yet familiar contribution: Nordic engineering rigor and prefabrication expertise, applied in the U.S. context. It adds real value—streamlining projects, supporting domestic supply chains, and helping create more workplaces here through localized manufacturing and assembly.

Early days

CLT modular processes develop in Europe; initial U.S. market conversations spark interest.

Mid-period

Life and projects pause deeper collaboration.

Reconnection: European market shifts meet U.S. growth potential in mass timber mid-rises.

Recent years

Feasibility confirmed: strong demand, room for innovation, viable path forward.

Looking ahead

Launching U.S. production in 2026 with proven CLT modular technology, ready for partners.

The symbol behind it

Our griffin captures this journey in one emblem:

  1. The eagle head for American ambition, scale, freedom and opportunity.
  2. The lion body for Finnish strength, resilience, and engineering heritage.
  3. The crown for Nordic precision and timeless design legacy.

It stands for the bridge we're creating—fusing the best of transatlantic worlds to deliver buildings that are reliable, efficient, and built to last.

Where we stand today

A team with deep experience in real estate strategy, CLT modular innovation, and factory production. We've seen CLT perform in award-winning projects and record-setting structures (including the world's tallest volumetric CLT high-rise). Now we're channeling that into U.S. projects—practical, proven, and ready to scale.

Looking forward 2026 marks our U.S. launch. Early discussions and tours begin this spring. Whether you're a developer seeking faster timelines and lower risks, a university planning student housing, a government addressing affordable units, or a business exploring sustainable workspaces, we're here to collaborate.

No overpromises. Just thoughtful innovation that adds real value.
